Operations Farming
The final step to marketable beef.
The most basic part of ranching is growing quality grasses on which La Escalera cattle can feed and become more valuable. Quality grasses cover much of the ranch’s pasturelands. These grasses help improve Escalera’s reputation herd of Black Angus cattle. Today, La Escalera Ranch’s integrated farming operations are dedicated to improving cattle grazing capacity and the cultivation of many different feed grain crops.
In addition to La Escalera Ranch’s significant West Texas operations, the ranch has extensive operations in North Texas—40,000 acres of Seymour Division pastureland and cultivated farmland.
